Adventure and Training for Your Dog

K9 Mountaineer Club is a unique “mobile doggie daycare” service in the Mount Washington Valley. K9 Mountaineer Club believes all dogs should have the opportunity to enjoy their true doggie nature by hiking off leash. These off-leash adventures offer your dog the exercise they need (and deserve!). Your hiking guide is a professionally certified dog trainer. Loving dogs and understanding them are not interchangeable. Dogs have their own unique communication system that should be understood by the human in charge of them. Recognizing these important communication signals helps to keep dogs safe.

K9 Mountaineer Club also offers dog training. We use reward based training. These dog friendly techniques have been scientifically proven effective in training. It is not necessary to be forceful, dominant or harsh in the name of training. Positive reinforcement training enhances trust and minimizes conflict. Unwanted behaviors are treated effectively and successfully using non-confrontational techniques. Working with your dog is about teamwork. If your dog does not understand, rather than label them stubborn take a look in the mirror and ask yourself what YOU can do to help your dog better understand ;-)

Owner/operator, Marianne Finney, is professionally certified and has been helping people help their dogs since 2006. This includes everything from basic obedience to aggression.
